Why study the Double Bachelor Econometrics and Economics?
Modified on Thu, 3 Oct at 1:36 PM
Econometricians examine the mathematical aspects of economic problems. Economists strive for a deep understanding of the nature of these problems. Are you interested in both? This programme provides you with a thorough understanding of how economics works and gives you access to the latest methods to analyse economic problems and calculate their solutions.
Are you as ambitious as you are inquisitive? Erasmus School of Economics offers you a unique opportunity to acquire both profound economic insights and practical quantitative econometric skills in only four years.
This programme allows you to focus on conceptual matters like inflation, valuation and production as well as quantitative issues like risk, forecasts, uncertainty, probability and scenario analysis. During the BSc² programme you will address questions such as:
• How will interest rates and stock prices evolve?
• How can we enhance the effectiveness of advertising by using Big Data?
• How will changes in unemployment rates affect consumer spending?
• What can be done to prevent a new ‘Eurozone crisis’?
You can find further information on this page.
During your studies we offer various programmes and opportunities to guide you through the programme and to further engage you. For example, in your first year you will have guidance classes to make the transition to the university as smooth as possible. If you however want to be challenged further, we offer a bachelor honours class in which the best performing and committed students can take part. On top of all there are various study associations that organize both social and educational events throughout the year.
You can find more information on what we offer during your studies on this page.
