Application & Admissions – students with an ESE diploma

When and how can I apply for a (pre-)master programme?

Modified on Fri, 15 Aug at 3:41 PM

If you wish to apply for a (pre-)master programme and you are a current ESE bachelor student or you have an ESE bachelor diploma, applications are open from 1 June until 1 August.

To apply you must complete two steps:

  1. Register in Studielink: Click here for more information about how to register correctly in Studielink. Please make sure you have a registration in Studielink before continuing with the rest of the application procedure.
  2. Submit an application via the EUR Admissions Portal: After registering in Studielink you will receive an automatic follow-up e-mail with the link to the EUR Admissions Portal to finalize your application. In the Portal, you may upload supporting documents (e.g. thesis completion statement signed by your thesis supervisor, dispensation request). Make sure you have your ERNA username and password ready. You will need your login details to enter the EUR Portal. Please, make sure that you check your spam inbox, as the automated email may arrive in the spam inbox.

Only students who have graduated from the ESE bachelor’s programme, or are fully on track to graduate before the start of the master’s programme, are considered admissible. Please review your Study Progress Overview in Osiris carefully, if any credits are missing or incorrectly registered, your application may be considered incomplete. Click on "Download file" to download the report in PDF format and pay close attention to the right-hand column titled “Voldaan” (Passed) to ensure that the status for each requirement is marked as “Ja” (Yes), indicating that the requirement has been fulfilled.

Important information for non-EEA students

Non-EU students who currently do not hold a valid study permit for the Netherlands need to apply before 1 June by sending their information to ese-admission@ese.eur.nl. This applies, for example, to students who took a gap year after bachelor graduation. For students who apply after 1 June, it cannot be guaranteed that the visa procedure is completed on time for admission.
