What is a certified document and how should I submit mine?
Modified on Mon, 7 Oct at 2:14 PM
A certified document is a copy of your diploma, transcript or other certificate that has been verified by your high school or university, a notary, or a sworn translator.
Your document should meet the following requirements:
- The photocopy of the document in colour.
- The photocopy is freshly signed and stamped, both in coloured ink.
- The signed and stamped document is also photocopied/scanned in colour.
Step-by-step instructions on how to make a certified copy can be found on the following website: https://www.eur.nl/en/ese/education/bachelor/admission-requirements/certified-documents.
It is important that all steps are followed closely, otherwise your document(s) could get rejected.
We accept documents in English and Dutch. If the original language of your document is in one of these languages, a sworn translation is not necessary. However, if the original language of your document is in any other language, we ask you to have the document translated by a sworn translator (or a notary).
You can upload your documents in the certified documents portal. The link can be found in your selection offer. Should you not have the link anymore, please contact us to request a new one.
When uploading your certified documents, both the translation and the original document need to be merged into one PDF and submitted.
