How to register yourself for a major and major seminar

This article will help you with registering yourself for a major and applying to a major seminar. In this article you will also find the entrance requirements for the majors and major seminars. Please read the entrance requirements carefully before registering yourself.

Step 1: Orientation

If you have not done this already, please orientate yourself before continuing. More information about major and major seminar orientation can be found at 'Major Orientation'. 


Step 2: Entrance requirements

Before registering for a major and major seminar, please carefully check whether you fulfil all of the entrance requirements. You can find the entrance requirements here.

If you do not yet, but almost, meet the entrance requirements for the seminar, you can submit a substantiated request for dispensation from these requirements. You can enclose the request for dispensation with your application form. You can find more information about how to write a request in the handout 'Request for dispensation'.


Step 3: Registering for a major

You can find the form to register for the major and apply to the major seminar here


Once you have submitted this form the Examination Board will evaluate your request for admission (including requests for dispensation if applicable). After assessment, all students will simultaneously receive a notification of their admission or rejection, on behalf of the Examination Board. 


Please note that you must subscribe for the major courses separately, similar to the registration for all your other bachelor courses.
