How can I apply for a bachelor programme?
Modified on Thu, 3 Oct at 1:45 PM
You can apply for one of our programmes from 1 November until 1 April / 1 May. The 1 April deadline applies to students who apply with a non-EEA nationality and therefore require a Dutch residence permit, as this process takes more time. The 1 May deadline applies to all EEA students.
The application procedure consists of 2 parts;
- Registration in Studielink for the correct study programme;
- Submitting the required application documents in the EUR Application Portal and paying the handling fee (€100,-).
Only registering in Studielink before the application deadline is not a valid application. You will also need to pay the handling fee and then submit your application documents in the EUR Application Portal before the deadline of 1 April / 1 May. The application portal will close on 1 May, so students who apply in Studielink after the application deadline will not be directed to the portal anymore and are therefore not able to complete their application to the programme.
Visit our application website for a detailed instruction on the steps in the application procedure: https://www.eur.nl/en/ese/education/bachelor/application.
Our bachelor programmes are selection programmes, by means of rolling admission. This means each application, of which it is determined that the applicant is admissible to a university bachelor programme, is reviewed individually by the Selection Committee within 6 weeks after submitting the application. The Selection Committee makes a decision based on the following aspects of an application:
- Grades during the secondary school curriculum;
- International background (Curriculum Vitae; living/studying abroad, summer courses abroad, voluntary work abroad, etcetera);
- Motivation, explaining your motivation to study IBEB at Erasmus School of Economics (by answering 3 questions).
In case you need a visa or residence permit, we will start the visa procedure after 1 April. You do not have to start the visa procedure yourself. After we have started your visa case, the Immigration Office will sent you information regarding the immigration procedure and the payment within 10 working days. Please refer to the following page for more information: https://www.eur.nl/en/education/practical-matters/immigration.
